The federal government decided to extend the possibility of using the FGTS to purchase real estate. For borrowers SP, RJ, MG and DF value increased to R $ 750mil. In the rest of the country, rose to U.S. $ 650mil.
The measure aims to stimulate the economy, particularly the construction industry. Entering into force on today's date - 1 October 2013 - true only for new financing.
To use the FGTS, the buyer must reside or exercise activity in the metropolitan area where the property is located to be acquired, can have no other funding SFH nor hold any other property in the same region and should be under the FGTS system for at least three years.
The property, in turn, must be allocated to housing, can not have been acquired through use of FGTS for less than three years and should be in the region of residence or work of the buyer.
The elevation values, however, there tends to inflate the price of real estate.
