Suspended cutting trees near the Gasometer Autor: TJ/RS Judge Nadja Mara Zanella, the 10 th of the Treasury of the Exchequer Courts of Sadness, in Porto Alegre, ordered the suspension of logging in the vicinity of the Gasometer. The measure is valid until the completion of conciliation hearing between the City Hall and the Public Ministry (MP) scheduled for 10/4, at 10am.
On the Public Civil Action, the MP argues that the license granted to the doubling Av Edvaldo Pereira Paiva is nil, it ignores the existence of the Parque Municipal Corridor Gasometer, under Master Plan of Urban and Environmental Development (PDDUA). The prosecution contends that the Park - which according to the PDDUA should include at least the area bordering the Guaiba to the tip of Pier Maua, Museum of Work and its surroundings as well as the Squares and Julio Sampaio Mosque - will suffer with duplication.
He also informed that the deadline for establishment of the park, by specific law, waned on 22/01/2012, featuring legislative and administrative omission.

Orders

The MP asked to grant an injunction to suspend the environmental license and that the City is prevented from issuing new licenses for this stretch of the avenue until they establish the boundaries of the park Gasometer.
At the end of the action, the prosecution seeks the cessation of works and suspension of licenses. It also aims to be deployed by a specific law, the Gasometer Park, with the change of layout of roadworks planned for the city. If this is not granted, the MP asks broadened to compensate by cutting vegetables, as well as the imposition park green areas with the same dimension as that may be deleted.

Dispatch

Judge Nadja Zanella granted within 10 days for the city to manifest. The logging will be suspended until the conciliation hearing, when an agreement will be sought between the parties.
