First labor payment by credit card is done in the Labor Court of PA Autor: TST
The first labor agreement in Brazil using credit card was closed early on Tuesday (9), the 2nd Labour Court in Belém (PA). The attorney Transcol Ltda. used his own credit card to pay in two installments, the value of $ 5000 due to a worker.
The use of electronic means for payment of labor agreements arose from a letter of intent signed by the Superior Labor Court, the National Council of Justice and representatives of the 24 Regional Labour Courts, the Bank of Brazil and Caixa Economica Federal.
The goal is to give more security and to payments made under the Labour Court and the judiciary as a whole. With the success of the pioneering project developed at the Regional Labor Court of the 8th Region (PA / PA), the mechanism should be taken to other parts labor and all other segments of Justice.
The debt repayment labor with credit card is the first in Brazil because the 8th Region Labour, which covers the states of Pará and Amapá, is a pioneer in the development of this mechanism.
The worker filed a lawsuit against the company Transcol Ltd. - the branch of transport - claiming moral damages in the workplace. The called claimed £ 50,000 in compensation from the company. The parties eventually reaching an agreement in the amount of $ 5000. Like all Labor Courts of Bethlehem are authorized to accept payments by credit card labor, the claimant will receive payment through the card company within 30 days from the date of the agreement.
