The "Workshop on Innovation and Technology", held yesterday by the Association of Investment Analysts and Professionals of the Capital Market (Apimec) in Rio de Janeiro, was reserved for discussions and presentations of innovations in various sectors including Oil and Gas
Helena Tenório, head of Innovation BNDES, showed the bank's development programs aimed at encouraging projects that focus on increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the economy through innovation and technology.
According to her, the bank will disburse U.S. $ 32.9 billion in support of innovative projects between 2013 and 2014. The oil and gas will have $ 4.1 billion energy and R $ 5.7 billion. Technologies related to the pre-salt and engineering products and process are the starting point for the release of funds. Helena said it will launch a tender for innovation for unconventional gas, shale gas.
Orlando José Soares Ribeiro, Manager of R & D in Production Engineering Research Center of Petrobras (Cenpes) showed innovation strategies of the company, which always seeks to extend their technologies and create new solutions to market exploration and production of oil and gas . He afimou idea that the company is always expanding the limits of industry and diversify existing products on the market.
"The big problem today is more innovation in human resources than on financial resources," he said. According to Orlando, the approach of universities with large companies is a form of open innovation, where everyone contributes and everyone wins, the creation of new technologies for the industry.
With over a thousand researchers working in laboratories Cenpes, the manager of Petrobras recalled some of the technologies developed in partnership with other companies, such as oil and water separator FMC. Today, the company invests 1% of its turnover in research and development.
"We are working today to do that in the future if no drilling or laser drilling risers, use and distribution of nanoparticles undersea power," he added.
