Imports grow by e-commerce in Brazil Autor: Ingrid Nedel Spohr Schmitt OAB/RS 68.625 Área Empresarial da Scalzilli.fmv Advogados & Associados The import of foreign goods via electronic commerce (e -commerce ) is growing so surprising in Brazil . In 2013 , an estimated exceed R $ 2.5 billion reais , representing a growth of over 50 % compared to the year 2012 .

According to consumers , the savings to purchase parts , mainly clothing and cosmetics , which are the most sought via e- commerce stores outside the country , is absurd . The values of the products are much more affordable than in Brazil , and the difference often reaches 200 % .

The company GS & ECOMM , which conducts industry research , states that " too many electronics are purchased ," and that " even having to pay the import tax it is still advantageous deal ."

Another supportive of e- commerce is the certainty of delivery . Increased safety , which gained ground against the fear that the consumer had not received the product , makes it knows that if it does not receive as buying , there is a possibility to be compensated , though the wait is long .

China is now among the favorites of the Brazilians , but the movement via e -commerce does not concern national retailers , as they believe that it is a specific audience that uses this format , and it will not affect , for now sales in domestic trade .
